Countik alternative: free TikTok stats vs a niche trend watch
Countik is a free, no-signup TikTok toolkit: a live follower counter, a profile viewer with average engagement, and daily country lists of songs and hashtags. If those numbers answer your question, keep using it. If you want to know what is working in your niche and which competitor videos broke out, read on.
As of October 2026, Countik’s analytics are free, need no registration and work on any public TikTok account. The average engagement rate comes from a profile’s last 10 videos, and the songs, hashtags and creators lists all showed “Last updated” Oct 26, 2026 when we checked. It covers TikTok only, and the same site sells followers, likes and views.
Followlly is paid and does a different job. Creator is $29/mo early access ($39 regular) after a 3-day trial, with 5 Instagram or TikTok competitors checked every 3 days. Each of their videos is measured against that creator’s median, so a breakout stands out instead of being averaged away. Our free trend pages currently rank 1.4K Reels and TikToks from 1.3K creators across 16 niche samples by views per day (updated Oct 26, 2026).
Countik at a glance (as of October 2026)
- What it is. A free TikTok toolkit built around a follower counter that, in Countik’s words, updates in real time, plus a profile viewer, a live views counter, Compare Users, a money calculator, a downloader, an AI caption generator and hashtag, bio and voice generators.
- Profile analytics. Average views, likes, comments and shares, an average engagement rate from the last 10 videos, per-post engagement, top hashtags and an earnings estimate. Free, no registration, no limit on accounts, CSV export. Its FAQ also mentions “the last 20 videos”, so the window may differ by metric.
- Trend pages. Top songs, hashtags (with views and video counts) and creators, each with a country list. None explains how its list is ranked.
- Reach. TikTok only, with an interface in 32 languages.
- Business model. Free tools, plus paid growth services (followers, likes, views, comments, shares, saves and an Auto Boost subscription) with no prices on the page we checked.

Average engagement vs outliers: what each number tells you
Countik answers “how is this account doing on average?” That is useful when you size up a creator for a collab. For deciding what to film, an average hides the one video worth studying: a single hit lifts it so far that normal videos look weak and a promising new post gets lost.
Take an illustrative profile with 10 recent videos, one of them a 260,000-view hit. The average is 32,380, the median 7,150, and 9 of the 10 videos sit below the average.
| Video | Views | vs the average (32,380) | vs the median (7,150) |
|---|---|---|---|
| The hit | 260,000 | 8.0× | 38× median of the other 9 |
| A new video | 20,000 | 0.6× looks like a flop | 2.8× a near-outlier |
| A typical video | 7,400 | 0.2× | 1.0× |
Followlly scores each competitor video against the median of that creator’s other videos older than 3 days and flags 3× or more. The free outlier finder runs the same math on any public TikTok or Instagram account and lists everything from 2×, so you see near-misses too. Why the median beats the average: outlier videos, explained.
From our samples. The clearest case is @natalia_aurora on Instagram Reels: 5 videos, a median of 151K views, an average of 376K. Their biggest, “Home gym goals🩶 My living room gives me the freedom to mov…”, is 9.6× the median of their other videos but only 2.4× the average, and 3 of the 5 videos sit below that average.
The samples hold recent public videos that surfaced in each niche over 21 days, not every video a creator posted, so read this as the math at work, not a verdict on the account. How we measure.
On engagement rate. Countik’s total engagement adds likes, shares and comments, but the page doesn’t say whether it divides by views or followers, and the two give very different numbers. Our engagement rate calculator shows both. In our niche samples the median by views is 12.4% across 251 TikToks with 1,000+ views.
Trending songs and hashtags: country lists vs niche samples
Countik’s lists are country-wide and refreshed daily, which is right for “what is popular in the US today?” They are a weaker guide to “what should I post in my niche?”, because a chart-topping song may never appear in a skincare or fitness video that performs.
Our free pages start from the niche. Trending songs on TikTok lists the named sounds behind top TikToks, with example videos and how many top videos use each. Trending hashtags by niche shows the tags creators add in each niche, without #fyp-style filler. The public samples refresh about once a week.
From our samples. 67% of the 1.4K videos use original audio or list no track. Named sounds used by two or more creators right now: “Housewife — Tate McRae” (6 videos on Reels), “we fell in love in october — girl in red” (5 videos on Reels and TikTok), “Angel Of My Dreams — JADE” (3 videos on Reels).
How to use either list. Open the sound or tag on TikTok: a small video count with fresh top videos means you are early.
Tokboard used to chart the same thing, songs by how many popular TikToks use them, until it went offline: Tokboard alternative.
About Countik’s growth services
Countik sells followers, plus likes, views, comments, shares and saves on posts. Its Auto Boost subscription adds engagement to every new TikTok, from +50 likes and +300 views per post (4 posts a month) up to +3,000 likes and +18,000 views (15 posts). A free “Likes Generator” offers 250 views and 25 likes every 24 hours after an email confirmation.
TikTok’s Community Guidelines list trading services that artificially boost engagement among the deceptive behaviors they don’t allow. On Trustpilot, Countik scores 3.9 out of 5 from 113 reviews, 17% of them one-star. The reviews we read concern the paid services: praise for speed and price, complaints about late deliveries, likes that disappeared and unanswered emails.
Followlly doesn’t sell engagement, partly for a reason of method: outlier scores only mean something when views are organic. Bought views raise a median and make a real breakout look ordinary. We make Followlly, so weigh our view accordingly.

When Countik is the better choice
- You need one number, right now, for free. Followers, average views or engagement for any public account, with no signup.
- You want country lists. Daily songs, hashtags and creators by country. Our public pages cover TikTok’s US trending feed and fixed niches.
- You want a live counter. Countik’s follower and views counters update while you watch. Followlly has none.
- You want another language. Countik’s interface comes in 32 languages.
- You post only on TikTok and don’t track competitors. The free tools plus TikTok Studio may be all you need.
When Followlly is the better choice
- You want to know what to film next. The niche watch ranks Reels and TikToks by views per day, refreshed about once a week, and scripts are written from your own numbers.
- You post on Reels as well as TikTok. Niche samples, competitors and the free outlier finder cover both.
- You want breakouts flagged, not averaged. Videos at 3× the creator’s median or more are flagged, and videos rising between checks are measured in views per hour.
- You want history, not a snapshot. Competitors are re-checked every 2–3 days depending on the plan.
- You want a tool that doesn’t sell engagement. Followlly sells no followers, likes or views, so the outlier math runs on organic numbers.

Switching from Countik to Followlly
- Keep Countik bookmarked. It is free and there is nothing to cancel.
- List the accounts you look up most. Countik exports analytics to CSV; the handles are all you need.
- Run them through the free outlier finder. See which recent videos beat their median before you pay for anything.
- Start the 3-day trial. Add your niche and up to 5 competitors on Creator. Card required, cancel anytime.
- Keep bought views out of your baseline. If you use Auto Boost, Countik says it can be paused from its dashboard. Boosted posts would skew your median while you measure.
