TrendTok alternative for Android, web and Reels: pricing, free options and how it compares

TrendTok is a well-rated iPhone app for catching TikTok sounds early. If you’re on Android, post Reels too, or make videos where the song isn’t the point, it leaves gaps. Here is what it costs as of October 2026, the free options that work in any browser, and when Followlly fits better (and when it doesn’t).

TrendTok Analytics & Tracker is an iPhone app from ForUsApps, LLC that finds trending TikTok sounds and predicts whether a trend will rise or fall. As of October 2026 it holds a 4.8 rating from about 67,000 App Store ratings. The download is free; most of the trend data sits behind TrendTok Pro, listed from $2.99 a week or $14.99–$29.99 a year.

Three gaps stand out: there is no Android app (its maker points Android users to TrendLab, a separate web app behind a sign-in), it covers TikTok but not Reels, and it is built around sounds. Followlly runs in a browser on any device, covers Reels and TikTok, and ranks whole videos in your niche by views per day. It also costs more: Creator is $29/mo early access ($39 regular). Our free trend pages currently rank 1.4K videos from 1.3K creators (updated Oct 26, 2026), no account needed. We make Followlly, so weigh our view accordingly; the TrendTok facts below were checked on Oct 26, 2026.

TrendTok at a glance (as of October 2026)

  • What it is. An AI app for TikTok trends: a soundboard, trends by location, category and creator, personalized trend reports, and a rise/fall/emerging forecast.
  • Where it runs. iPhone only, iOS 15.6 or later. We found no Google Play listing. Its product page offers an Android waitlist and an “Android & Web” button that opens TrendLab, a web app whose public page is only a sign-in screen.
  • Platforms. TikTok. The listing and latest release notes don’t mention Instagram; the same company sells Reels trends in a separate iPhone app, ReelTrends.
  • Newer tools. Version 7.10 (October 7) lists niche-level hashtags, a Business Mode that shows which sounds are cleared for commercial use, a TikTok Shop forecaster, AI competitor analysis and generators for hooks, scripts and captions.
  • Reviews. Critical reviews mention a paywall before you can preview trends, repetitive song lists, sounds already saturated when they appear, missing niches and unclear rise/fall arrows. Several date from 2021; the app has changed since.

TrendTok pricing (as of October 2026)

TrendTok Pro price points listed on the US App Store. Prices vary by country.

TrendTok in-app purchase (App Store name)PriceBilling
Pro Weekly 1$2.99Weekly
Pro Monthly$9.99Monthly
Pro Yearly$29.99Yearly
Pro Yearly 1, Pro Yearly 3$19.99Yearly
Pro Yearly 4$14.99Yearly
Yearly Early Bird 2$9.99Yearly offer
Pro (three items)$9.99, $39.99, $49.99Not stated

The App Store lists the price points an app has set up, not the one you’ll be offered; the paywall decides that. A 2025 review and user reviews both cite $2.99 a week or $19.99 a year, with the same features on both. That review also found that only the “Beauty Gurus” catalog was open without paying, and we found no stated trial length.

The weekly plan adds up: $2.99 × 52 = $155.48 a year, 7.8× the yearly price. From week 7 on, yearly is cheaper. Followlly Creator is $29 a month, $348 a year, so it is by far the pricier tool. The question is whether Reels, niche-wide video data and competitor tracking are worth the difference to you.

How much of your niche actually runs on a song?

Live numbers from our niche samples: 1.4K recent public videos from 1.3K creators (updated Oct 26, 2026). How we pick and rank them: methodology.

  • TikTok: 57 of 272 videos (21%) list a named song; the rest use original audio or list no track.
  • Reels: 395 of 1,117 videos (35%) list a named song; the rest use original audio or list no track.

Most videos in these samples don’t use a named song at all, so a sounds-only view misses most of what is spreading. Songs used in two or more videos are the closest thing to a sound trend inside a niche:

SongPlatformVideosNiches
Housewife — Tate McRaeReels6Food and Beauty
we fell in love in october — girl in redReels4Food and Beauty
Idyllic jazz bossa nova with piano and guitar(1298871) — TAKANORI ONDATikTok3Beauty
Stop The Wedding! — AsheReels3Beauty
My October — The FolksReels3Food and Beauty
Training Season (Live from the Royal Albert Hall) — Dua LipaReels3Beauty and Money

Check your own niche in ten minutes. Open the 20 fastest videos from the last two weeks and tally “named song” against “original audio” (voiceover, talking to camera, the creator’s own sound). If the first column is short, the hooks, formats and topics matter more than the track.

When TrendTok is the better choice

  • You’re on iPhone and want sounds in your pocket. A native app with a soundboard, saved sounds and a jump into TikTok. Followlly works in a phone browser but isn’t built around one-tap sound saving.
  • You want the cheapest paid option. A yearly plan at $14.99–$29.99 costs about as much as one month of Followlly Creator.
  • Your videos are built on a song. Dances, lip-syncs, transitions and memes, where catching the right sound early is most of the work.
  • You post from a business account. Business Mode shows which sounds are cleared for commercial use. Followlly doesn’t check music licensing.
  • You sell on TikTok Shop. TrendTok has a Shop forecaster; Followlly has nothing for Shop products.

When Followlly is the better choice

  • You’re on Android or a laptop. Followlly opens in any modern browser. TrendTok has no Android app as of October 2026; its maker points Android users to TrendLab, a web app we couldn’t see past its sign-in screen.
  • You post Reels too. One niche feed covers Reels and TikTok, ranked the same way, instead of two apps and two subscriptions.
  • Your niche talks more than it dances. In our TikTok samples, 79% of videos use original audio or list no track. A song chart says little about those; a feed of your niche’s fastest videos shows the hooks and formats.
  • You want to watch specific competitors. Add 5 handles on Creator. Followlly checks them every 3 days and flags any video at 3× the creator’s median, whatever its audio.
  • You want breakouts from small accounts. Views per day puts a small creator’s breakout next to a big account’s normal week. Your niche feed refreshes about once a week.

TrendTok’s free Beauty Gurus catalog vs our free beauty page

A January 2025 review found that, without paying, only TrendTok’s “Beauty Gurus” catalog was open. Our beauty page is free in full: the fastest TikToks from our beauty sample, ranked by views per day.

Switching from TrendTok to Followlly

  1. Cancel through Apple. Settings, your name, Subscriptions, TrendTok, Cancel Subscription (Apple’s steps). Deleting the app doesn’t stop the subscription.
  2. Keep the sounds you liked. Add them to Favorites inside TikTok first.
  3. List the creators you watch. They become your competitor handles: 5 on Creator, 15 on Producer.
  4. Start the 3-day trial. Pick your niche and paste the handles; the feed, sounds and outliers fill in on their own.
  5. Compare while the trial runs. You have 3 days before the first charge. Keep whichever tool led to a video you actually filmed.

FAQ

Is there a TrendTok app for Android?
Not as of October 2026. TrendTok is on Apple’s App Store only, we found no Google Play listing, and its product page offers an Android waitlist plus a link to TrendLab, a web app that opens on a sign-in screen. On Android today, Followlly runs in the browser, and our TikTok songs page and TikTok’s Creative Center (hashtags and videos) work in any mobile browser.
Is there a free TrendTok alternative?
Yes, if you combine a few: our TikTok songs page for the songs behind top TikToks, the sound page in TikTok to see how crowded a sound is, TikTok’s Creative Center for popular hashtags by region, and our trend pages for niche Reels and TikToks ranked by views per day. Followlly’s paid plans add your competitors and your own niche after a 3-day trial.
How much does TrendTok cost?
The download is free. As of October 2026, the US App Store lists TrendTok Pro at $2.99 a week, $9.99 a month and $14.99 to $29.99 a year, among other price points. Reviews most often cite $2.99 a week or $19.99 a year. Kept for a year, the weekly plan costs $155.48.
Does TrendTok work for Instagram Reels?
Its listing and latest release notes cover TikTok only. The same company sells a separate iPhone app, ReelTrends, for Reels. Followlly covers Reels and TikTok in one niche feed.
Is TrendTok worth it?
For an iPhone creator whose videos are built on songs, $19.99 a year is cheap enough to try. If you’re on Android, post Reels or mostly talk to camera, it covers a narrow slice of what works: only 21% of the TikToks in our samples list a named song.
